IMPORTANT - Revised Date for Leicester Canal Champs

As a result of having to delay the first two rounds of the Wigston A.S. 'Middy' Teams of Four Winter League, the Leicester Canal Champs will now take place on Sunday 21st March 2010 and not the 14th March as previously scheduled.

The Leicester Canal Champs is an individual competition open to all society and non-society members.

Wigston A.S. Take 3^rd in Soar Valley Winter League

Wigston Angling Society has finished in a very credible 3^rd place in the Soar Valley division of the Angling Times Winter league fished on the River Soar around Loughborough.

In only their second year in the competition, the team finished ahead of a number or top local teams including Leicester Sensas, Long Eaton VDE and Maver Loughborough Soar.

Top Wigston rod was Aaron Wells who also finished runner-up in the leagues overall individual stakes behind Quorn VDE man Steve Hurst.
