Wigston A.S. Middy Teams of Four - CANCELLED

Wigston A.S. Teams of Four Winter League – CANCELLED

Due to a combination of continued bad weather and some anglers/teams not willing to break the ice to fish, the Wigston A.S. teams of four winter league on the GUC has been cancelled

You can’t blame anyone for not wanting to fish in the current weather conditions. Equally there are some teams and anglers that do want to fish and being tied into matches that may not go ahead due to the canal being frozen, often leaves them with insufficient time to find an alternative match.

Instead, we will be running the following open matches on the original match dates. This way individuals can make their own decision if they want to fish and if need be to break the ice.

The dates are:

Sunday 23rd January

Sunday 06th February

Sunday 20th February

Sunday 13th March (Leicester Canal Champs)

Many thanks to all the teams for their patience and input. I hope you will continue to support us on these open matches.

Anglers wanting to book-in for any of the above, should contact either Steve Oakes on 07941 361753 or myself – 07860 112000.
